Everything we do, we give a certain piece of ourselves in it. How much we give of ourselves varies, but for the most part, when we put ourselves to a task, we give everything we got.

So its safe to assume that when you can’t give your all to something, you’ve got to ask, why is that? Are you too tired? Are you just done with the subject matter? Is there something that’s getting in the way of your effort being worth it?

Sometime the things that get in the way the most is ourselves. Motivational speeches can only get you so far in life. If you’re not working towards something that excites you, then what was it all for anyways?

Over the course of this newsletter, we’ve talked a lot about growth. How much is takes to grow, what stops growth, what makes us think growth is going on but it’s really plateaued. Treating your life like a plant you always need to take care of will not lead you wrong. Sometimes we want growth just to happen when we are feeling comfortable, but it doesn’t work like that. Growth happens because of hardship. It’s hard to learn new things, it’s hard to cultivate a new habit, it’s hard to connect with people and server others.

But the only way true growth will ever happen is if you plan for it and execute on it. Consistency is one of the best ways I know how to make our goals a reality. And unfortunately, the only one we can rely on to be consistent is ourselves. So you must trust yourself that you have your own best interests in your heart and make it happen over and over again until you win.

You must be your biggest cheerleader, and to not be, will be one of your biggest regrets of your life. So look out for yourself, trust me, you’re 100% worth the trust and faith you put into yourself!

It crazy to think about, because if you’re afraid to take a shot, your brain tricks you into thinking that not taking the shot was the right decision. You become safe from disappointment, from failure, but have you really done anything? We don’t live in caves anymore, everything isn’t trying to eat us. The more we progress as a society means the more we need to progress personally.

And we’ll never get there if we are afraid to try new things and experiences.

So take as many shots as you can. Don’t worry, it won’t matter how many times you fail, each one of those shots taken is one step closer to your overall goals and destiny.

Think about when you had the most amount of friends and connections. Was it during a time when you were experiencing life with a group of people? Were you spending lots of hours together doing various activities?

Most likely yes, because repeat experiences working toward a goal is a great way to build connection. But it’s more than just working in your career. A lot of people have their closest connection develop in College. Everyone is working toward a goal to get a degree. They live together, they eat together, they study together, they see each other in the Classrooms and the halls.

You would think you spend more time together at Work, why aren’t you best friends with everyone at your Work who you spend 40 hours a week with? Well it has to do with Stress and Motivation. College is full of Romantic relationships, friend like relationships while work you are forced to work with who’s there. You have to put up with them, College you get to choose who you live with, date and even just hang out with. There are exceptions in both environments, but the College environment is a lot more conducive to living a meaningful life than Working for a Paycheck.

So remember those long lost relationships you had, you might find that what you were missing in those 40 hour work weeks was just a little connection.

Everyday we wake up we have a routine that we follow, whether we know it’s an actual routine or not. Do you wake up and immediately check your phone? Or go to the bathroom, brush your teeth, drink a protein drink on your way to the gym?

Rituals are a part of life, having the right ones could instantly change your life for the better. Bad one can keep you stuck in a pattern that may not server your interests. Either way, we are creatures of habit, and if those habits don’t involve other people, there’s a big chance we get fairly minimal benefit from them.

One of the biggest rituals we all do almost everyday is go to Work. We serve other people for a paycheck, doing things for people they don’t want to do and instead pay you to do it for them.

So choose rituals that serve you. Choose the life you want if it’s not the life you have. Regret is an unavoidable choice down the line if you don’t live the life you want now.

Some people are blessed with good Family. Whether it be a Dad and a Mom, or just a Mom, or just a Dad or just siblings because your parents died in a car crash. If you were an orphan and only child, maybe the family you make becomes more important.

Whatever the case may be, we always have the opportunity to meet people who can change our lives for the better. It’s important that once we do, we hold on to them.

So whatever family brings out the best in you and loves you unconditionally, focus on that family. The family is the base unit of Society, and without it, we’d all cease to exist. So cherish that which brings you joy, because the meaning of life is probably wrapped up in that cherished family unit somewhere…

I’ve been to like 20 different stores in the past 3 days helping our Family get ready for Christmas. They’ve all been really busy. I see frantic Dad’s trying to figure out where the weird spices are which their wives sent them out to get. I’ve seen others looking at toys and having no clue if it’s something their kid would actually want. I’ve seen people drive in parking lot traffic impatiently because they were definitely late in getting somewhere and were pretty stuck.

In there own way all this time they are spending trying to make a good christmas for their kids or friends or family is a sacrifice. They may not like doing all the things that come with trying to provide a Good Christmas, their intention is in the right spot.

If we all were a little more giving to those around us, we all be in a much better place emotionally, physically and mentally. I try to live my life in a manner of serving others, I would recommend you try it too. Business is all about serving, and they greatest Entrepreneurs are always big givers.

So I hope you all have a great vacation from work and realize what y’all are doing this for: To support those who can’t support themselves…

Knowledge is a curse some would say.

Knowing things puts you to a higher standard of responsibility.

Without knowledge, we would shrivel up into nothing.

We need it to survive. It’s what our soul eats daily as much as our mouths eat food.

But once you obtain knowledge,

With it comes a great responsibility to use it, expand it, grow it.

It’s an addiction that can never be satisfied,

unless you want to hide in a hole, alone and never interact with anyone.

So use what knowledge you have to help others grow.

Doing so is the only way to find out with great power comes great responsibility.

Think about your favorite celebrity. What characteristics do they have that makes you like them? Chances are it isn’t because they are down to earth or are a “man of the people”. They are probably just really good at singing or acting or are really funny.

So what do we do as normal people who most likely will never see that type of fame in our lifetimes? Well, one of the few ways we can outshine celebrities is through consistency. Showing up for actual people in our daily lives, the ones who we can actually make a difference in their lives. Best thing those celebrities can do for you is take a selfie with you or charge you for overpriced t-shirts with their face on it.

Make a difference where you can, and you can make a difference just by consistently helping the people around you.

Equilibrium is an interesting topic. You would think while equilibrium is important for our bodies, it does not show up in nature all that often. Nature is dirty, erratic, and even a little bit chaotic sometimes. Like with a Tornado or an Earthquake, the World is always changing. Maybe even a forest fire causes destruction on the surface, but makes way for new growth and new opportunities for more of a variety of plants to grow.

We can associate this with our lives fairly well, there’s a time to harvest, a time to plant, a time to hibernate indoors. The seasons are there to show us that World changes in cycles, and so do we. There’s a time to work extra hard by planting, there’s a time to rest, there’s a time to move on from our jobs into something better. There’s a time to be a kid, a Teenager, an Adult, a Senior Citizen. Each of these stages are accompanied with different friends, attitudes and even lifestyles.

But with every change comes the opportunity to get better by growing. Experiences happen to us so that we can understand whats its like to live through all the season of our lives. By realizing this, we can become someone who’s focused on growth overall and not focused on just the negative experiences that come with change.

Everyone who has ever gotten something they wanted knows that the feeling of accomplishment of getting said item never last for very long.

You either want more or something different.

So if you think about it, did you ever really want it in the first place?

You probably wanted the acclaim and notice that you thought comes with having the item. I hate to say it, but you probably could’ve gotten all that without striving for the item and just being a good person who helps others being the a person who shows interest in other people’s lives.

So go out there and do something with another person. More Material things doesn’t solve a Loneliness problem.

Everyone on earth is impatient to some degree. Most are especially impatient when it comes to getting what they think is owed to them. You’ll see this all the time if it take longer than usual to get their food at a restaurant. They’ll complain about the service and that they will spend their hard earned money somewhere else if this keeps up. We are not entitled to anything. Capitalism to a degree needs goo customer service to thrive, but it isn’t a deal breaker because of supply and demand. If there’s a lot of people in line in front of you, you’ll just have to wait your turn.

This same mentality can be applied to solving complicated problems. If the problems themselves took weeks, months even years to develop, why do you think you can solve it in a day? No matter how smart you are, rome wasn’t built in day (and it certainly never recovered from all its problems). If you’re making a big change in your career or life, give it time to settle before you go trying to fix every aspect about it. You might notice that a problem will just go away with time and you shouldn’t have been rushing to fix it in the first place.

Starting things is hard, whether its a gym routine, a diet or just becoming a new member of a club. Showing up for yourself everyday is hard when other people aren’t already doing it. It’s lonely, it’s debilitating, it’s hard not having anyone just coming to you and giving you exactly what you want.

But the power to be consistent doesn’t come from others, it comes from within. Because once you figure out that in order for other people to show up for you you need to show up for them first, then the goal becomes “What can I do today that will influence others to take the action I want them to take tomorrow?”. How to reach that goal is always show up for them before they show up for you.

Marketing is a huge Industry. Facebook generated $164 Billion in Revenue in 2024 alone. Advertising is a huge industry, but what makes advertising work is the ability to communicate your message as clear as possible and as fast as possible. People are busy, they don’t have time to beat around the bush or window shop in today’s world. They need a solution and they need it now.

You probably have that solution in your head, you just got to be able to communicate it’s value to your audience. It’s not as easy as it sounds. People have different personalities, they even hear things differently. They are all extremely obsessed with themselves and their own lives. So you gotta be an helpful addon to their life, and not one who makes their lives more difficult. Find out what they value and get your product messaging as close to that as possible.

Many people don’t realize how big youtube is. They think of Youtube as a place where they can watch videos that pertain to topics they like, they feel like it’s just for them. But Youtube is something else entirely, 20 Million Videos are uploaded daily! It’s today’s Library of Alexandria. The sum of all human knowledge can most likely be found there, because they figured out how to monetize knowledge in the most successful way. It turns out they also figured out how to monetize entertainment as well.

Each individual has something to share, somethings they are really good at and that no one else can teach like they can. With Ai taking care of a lot of our knowledge work we used to do, more space will open up for us to become creatives. I believe this is the future of work, helping people with their knowledge gaps and building communities around these topics, powered by video, blog posts and more! Social Media will continue to decline, as more people crave connection over mindless scrolling.

Most people focus on the wrong thing. Whether it be Money, Fame, Power or Influence, all those are very fleeting, they leave as quickly as they come. Your focus should be on helping people or improving yourself so you can increase your capacity to serve more people, better.

Focus is not about choosing the right thing, it’s about deciding not to pursue anything else other than the biggest goal you have for yourself. Once you’ve found that, everything that doesn’t vibe with you meeting that goal, you become disinterested in it very quickly.

It doesn’t matter what happened yesterday. It doesn’t matter how bad you messed up. It doesn’t matter if that deal fell through or if you didn’t get that raise you wanted.

If you look forward to helping the next generation whenever you can, you’re doing well. Helping make the world a better place starts with making sure the next generation will have a better future then you did. That’s real capitalistic progress, that’s the real American Dream.

All else is trivial in comparison…

So be a Good Dad, or Uncle, or Mentor. It may be a hard job but someone’s gotta do it…

If you are dedicated to growth, you have to surround yourself with people who you want to be like. If you want to quit smoking, you don’t hang around with people smoking all day. If you want to learn how to build a business, you got to hang around successful Business owners.

Punch above your weight class. Do whatever you got to do to show the people who are better off than you that you belong with them. Do things for them, help them where you can, bring them business! There’s a lot of ways to go about it, but the longer you stay in their club, the faster you’ll grow along with them.

We are all meant to fail in one way or another, it’s Human Nature. We fail while we’re learning things, we fail when we forget things, we even fail when we try and put ourselves out there. That feels like the worse type of failure, but the actual worst type of failure is the ones who never even tried. They are the ones that will never know what accomplishment feels like. They are the ones that will never know that growth is a catalyst to an easier life. If we aren’t striving towards anything, how can we know our life was worth it?

What unit of measure do you measure your success in? How much money you make? How many Kids you have? How popular you are? Everyone has something they want in their life, but should you judge the success of your life based on that desire?

Most likely not, because once you do earn the thing, whatever it may be, you’ll want something else. So be the kind of person you want to be instead, that’s the gift that keeps on giving, to yourself and other people.
