In Your 20’s, the name of the Game is: Learn
Do everything you can to learn everything there is to know about your field. Take up hobbies around your field. Find out not only how to work for other people but work WITH other people. Give special attention to colleagues on your same level, make friend with them that will last beyond your current workplace.
In Your 30’s, the Name of the Game is: Discern
Find out what you’re good at and then Lean into it. Maximize what you are passionate about and good with and you’ll discover your true purpose in life and your Career. Maybe start a newsletter or community to help maximize that potential to the world outside of work, so that you’ll be prepared for your 40’s, which….
In your 40’s, the Nam of the Game is: Earn
Using both your extensive knowledge AND experience, you can easily figure out what you should do to out earn anyone around you. Start a Consulting Biz or climb the corporate ladder aggressively if you want to be a Manager or an Executive. As you start to earn a lot more for what you know you’re great at, start to give back to the younger generation by mentoring and teaching them what you’ve learned over the years. They are desperate to know, so help your past self out!
