“When we come from a place of judgment, we become stuck in our own worldview. When we come from a place of curiosity we expand our range of possibility.” -Mary Abbajay (Managing Up)
Curiosity is the solution to many problems. But most don’t see it that way. They think that dreaming or thinking about things is worthless, and that it’s better to be a man of action than a man of dreaming. Both need each other. Just as the Introvert hates the extrovert and vice versa, yet each secretly want the skills the others possesses, Curiosity and Action are both necessary to make progress in anything.
Without the Innovators and Dreamers, the world will just mosey along with too much bureaucracy and not whimsy. With the Action takers and finishers, the dreamers would never get anything done.
Be both a Dreamer and Action Taker, and if you have one or the other, find someone to partner with who has the other. That’s where magic will happen.
