đŁ Curious Quotes from the Author
âKnowledge is not power. Thatâs a myth. It is the potential for power, but it is not power itself. Itâs not what you learn or what you know; itâs what you do with what you know and learn.â
âA good question to ask yourself before doing anything you think you fear is, âIf I do this, am I going to die?â If the answer is no, then your fear is made up, grossly overdramatic, and it should have no power over you.â
âAs Jim Rohn put it to me, âDonât let your learning lead to knowledge, or youâll become a fool. Let your learning lead to action, and you can become wealthy. Thereâs nothing more pitiful than a guy who is smart and broke.â
âAre you willing to make the difficult choices? To do whatâs unpopular? Itâs not easy, but remember this: When people are calling you out and calling you names, theyâre really just calling you a leader.â
âLook, if youâre going to get better, you have to push yourself. If you push yourself, youâre going to fall. If youâre not falling, youâre not pushing. Falling is part of getting better.â
âCourage is not the absence of fearâitâs feeling the fear and proceeding anyway. As Nelson Mandela said, âI learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.â
âIf you want to have more, you have to become more. You have to grow into your goals.â
âEffective sales is about finding a perceived need and helping someone fulfill it.â
âThe key to success is massive failure. Your goal is to out-fail your competition.â
âMost people are operating at a fraction of what they are really capable of. As the leader you will need to find the unique seeds of greatness buried in each member of your team. You need to remove the weeds (fears, inhibitions, uncertainties), water and fertilize (invest in their personal growth), and provide the sunshine (your positive attitude, belief in them, and example) to transform that miraculous seed inside them into a bountiful harvest of results and productivity.â
âIf you have more than three priorities, you donât have any. -Jim Collinsâ
đ Cognition of the Bookâs Big Idea:
Most individuals understand how difficult it is to start their own business. Being an entrepreneur requires a full-time commitment to generating the best product, increasing efficiency, and satisfying customers. What most individuals don't realize is that the true hurdles lay beneath your primary company responsibilities: becoming a great entrepreneur entails overcoming your fears, identifying your priorities, and following your aspirations.
Define your top priority and stick to it.
Every day, take a time to consider the chores you intend to complete. From these, select one top priority for the day and set everything else aside. You will accomplish more and feel better if you focus on your goal and do not start anything new until you have completed it.
đ ď¸Fixing the Tech Industry
Entrepreneurs have knack for change. They feed off of it, the inherent risk, the challenge and brining something new in the marketplace. Not only that but they thrive off bringing value to other people. Not always knowledge or products or any other things we may be bombarded with day to day, but action and profit and value.
The world would not run very well without these visionaries.
Are you one of them?
