Book Byte #139 "Think Remarkable" by Guy Kawasaki
9 Paths to Transform Your Life and Make a Difference
📚 Cognition of the Book’s Big Idea:
We've discovered some motivational rules for creating a remarkable life: Sow the seeds of promise everywhere, tend to them with tenacity and determination, and take after the poise and quiet demeanor of great leaders. Our best chance of guiding our opportunity seeds and acorns into mighty oaks of achievement is when we embrace a growth mindset, formalize our goals, and create reliable routines. We can also access a deeper well of motivation and fulfillment by reframing success in terms of impact and contribution rather than in materialistic terms of riches and prestige.
It's time for us to rethink our possibilities as a nation and as individuals. We have the power to reach higher goals, support one another, and leave a lasting legacy.
🛠️Fixing the Tech Industry
The seed analogy in our lives is pervasive. The act of growing a seed to a mature plant is very much in paralell to our own lives. I mean we were all farmers to some degree before the turn of the 20th century. We are now farmers of ideas, creating them with code and helping them to grow, we even help others with their own crops and get paid by them to keep their crop (or business) going.
