📣 Curious Quote from the Author

“The world has changed. The way we communicate and connect with each
other, the way we run our lives — it's all changed. Consumers and buyers
today have information at their fingertips, more discerning criteria for how
they spend their money, and continuously shifting expectations.”

📚 Cognition of the Book’s Big Idea:

All too frequently, measures designed to prepare companies for the future are implemented incorrectly. Progress toward desired business results are not being tracked, and crucial front-line employees are being overburdened with more information than they can handle. However, by developing outstanding business architecture, progressively sharing new knowledge, and embracing imperfection, you may improve your organization's outcomes and provide a better customer experience.

If you don't know the right answer, give the wrong one instead.

Next time you're in a team meeting and someone asks a tough question, don't be afraid to admit you don't know the answer or to give an answer even if you know it's incorrect. Although it may seem counterproductive, showing your own lack of expertise or making a wild guess can encourage others at the table to make their own comments. Before long, you might have just group-solved your way to the correct solution. This is obviously preferable to everyone sitting in awkward quiet, terrified to make a mistake.

🛠️Fixing the Tech Industry

Mistakes are a very heavy topic in the Tech Industry today. No one like making them, no one likes being called out for them, and no one especially likes admitting to themselves that they’ve made one.

Yet they are a part of growth, they are a part of life, they are a part of Business. If leaders owned up to their mistakes, then their underlings would be more inclined to not be afraid of them, and making mistakes while never quitting to find a solution will give them the power to solve their most impossible problems.

What can we do to overcome the mistakes we make and ensure that we always try again?
