📣 Curious Quotes from the Author
“Endings occur more easily if people can take a bit of the past with them. You are trying to disengage people from it, not stamp it out like an infection. And in particular, you don’t want to make people feel blamed for having been part of it.”
“The second warning is not to overwhelm people with a picture that is so hard for them to identify with that they become intimidated rather than excited by it.”

“In fact, many endings represent the only way to protect the continuity of something bigger.”

“Given the ambiguities of the neutral zone, it is easy for people to become polarized: some want to rush forward and others want to go back to the old ways.”

Understanding the neutral zone and consolidating fresh beginnings are critical strategies for not only adapting to, but thriving in, change. This guide not only provides practical strategies for managing change, but it also emphasizes the importance of empathic leadership and a holistic strategy that includes psychological preparation.
As we strive for transformation rather than just change, we recognize that success resides in respecting each team member's personal journey, transforming a potentially disruptive process into an opportunity for growth and rejuvenation.

Transformation is an interesting word. At its core it means change, but it means a lot of change, almost the opposite of what you were normally doing. We see transformation happening a lot throughout our careers while we secretly hope things will never change in our careers. That’s because the only certainty is change. We live on an earth that is full of change, relationships change, our mindset changes as we desire to not change as much as we can or we try everything in our power to predict change, but it never goes according to plan.
Career Changes are some of the hardest life events to go through. They are the most scary, the most difficult, and also contain the most growth periods we experience in this life.
