Many people who feel stuck in their job were most likely themselves the cause of that trouble. When one finds a good opportunity, they tend to stay with the opportunity for as long as they possibly can. Why wouldn’t you? Its a good opportunity! You’re having a good life while partaking in it!

But like the Lotus Eaters of Ancient Greek mythology, the only way to see the long term damage of that lifestyle is from others who aren’t in the middle of that lifestyle. Looking at the opportunity you are experiencing from the outside, you’ll quickly find its not all it’s cracked up to be. You give up a large part of yourself, mainly your potential to grow, all for the ease and comfort of being lazy.

That’s why it’s so important when experimenting and testing things, you don’t drive yourself too far into comfort and forget about real growth. Always make your decisions with a Bias towards action and actually completing an achievement, rather than solving for comfort and continued ease of life.
