“When Sebastian Thrun taught his computer science class to 200 Stanford students, and then to 160,000 non-Stanford students online, the top Stanford student ranked a measly 413th. ‘My Gosh,’ cried Thrun on seeing this, ‘for every great Stanford student, there’s 412 amazingly great, even better students in the world. -Daniel Susskind (A World Without Work)
I don’t think Academia gets it yet. Actually they might get it but they are going to do every possible thing they can to ignore it because the revolution is here. College for everything you don’t need credentials for is useless.
Want to be an Architect or a Doctor, you definitely need a degree, but want to be an IT guy or an Artist, let ChatGPT tutor you in every subject. Most student are handing in 100% ChatGPT written essays and the Teacher can’t tell the difference, even with Ai Detection Software.
People say the educational system has been broken for years. Ai will quickly make up for all the damage we done. Custom Curriculum for each child and helping them figure out the things they want to learn along with the thing they have to learn.
We live in amazing times. Buckle Up, it’s only going to get better, especially when the robots can cook for me.
Until Tomorrow,
