“The reason that most people don’t possess these extraordinary physical capabilities isn’t because they don’t have the capacity for them, but rather because they’re satisfied to live in the comfortable rut of homeostasis and never do the work that is required to get out of it. They live in the world of “good enough.” The same thing is true for all the mental activities we engage in,”
We say we want to grow, but do our actions say it as well?
The only way we can overcome problems in our daily work day is by working them out. Usually we’ll rely on other people to help us with the big problems that we can’t solve. But any leader worth their salt will help them solve their own problems, it’s the give a man a fish argument all over again.
Progress is found when your back is against the wall and you come up with a win. It’s not found when you’re cruising through life collecting your paycheck in the same job you can do in your sleep and have been for 7 years.
The only thing comfort brings is complacency. Are you complacent in your Career?
Then it’s probably time to change…
