Curiosity Killed the Average Worker's Motivation to Climb the Corporate Ladder

It's all just a matter of time

Careers are going through a huge change right now. As someone who researches Careers for a living, the sentiment I track is getting pretty bad, firmly entering the “Poor Overall” levels. Salaries have stagnated, Credit Card Debt is at an all time high, no one can afford housing or mortgage rates. Meanwhile, Corporate Profits are at an all time high and the Stock Market is doing just great. So what’s causing the dissonance? What is the true culprit of such a difference in the sentiment for the economy?

Honestly, we’re in for a total rework with, well, Work. Companies are going to use Ai more to cut costs, but something will also happen with those laid off. It will get way easier for them to freelance and connect with their potential customers in a way they previously didn’t have. Personal Brand is going to be extra important because people already want to work with Humans instead of Corporations. Have you seen the difference in engagement between a Company’s Official Social Media Accounts and the Founder of said Company? People follow Humans, not PR Departments.

So the faster you start building a personal brand to connect with other people, the faster you’ll be able to use that leverage when you need it, especially when you’re laid off or want to strike out on your own. And even if you don’t ever want to strike out on your own, you’ll still have an audience to help you achieve whatever you want out of life from there forward.

Until Tomorrow,
