When you first start Live Streaming, the generic advice given is to not look at how many viewers you have. The reasoning behind this is that every time you look at the number, it will be low and you will get discouraged. Being discouraged shows up in your personality on video and it will end up becoming a self fulfilling prophecy: You don’t have viewers, you get sad because you have no viewers and you don’t think it’s worth it doing anything to get viewers.
Don’t write to be heard, write to express yourself. The baseline of that statement is writing for what drives you. It’s not dependent on someone else. But what you find is the more you do it for yourself, the more people will relate to that human side of you and want to participate and share your content.
