Everyone has a story they spent their whole lives developing. We’ve all gained a specific skillset unique to us. The main problem is not everyone understands the breadth of our experience us unless they look really hard, and not many do. Even if the some that do can become the greatest friendships and relationships in our life, most will be too busy to give a crap about our life.

You should probably use this to your advantage. You might be overthinking how few people actually give a crap about your life. So the ones that do, nurture those relationships, give back and try and form a stronger bond with them.

This also goes with what you do at work. Don’t treat your Company like a lifelong friend, because they aren’t, no matter how many pizza parties they throw you. If you end up working for yourself, trade you’re experience for sufficient compensation not tied to how many hours you work on a project.
