Experiences, Not Money, is the Real Currency of Life
To Experience something is more valuable than just paying for it
When you purchase something, you will almost never feel as good afterwards than you did when you just bought it. The anticipation of getting the thing is way more exciting than actually having it.
Think about your playroom or mancave or office. How many toys or trinkets do you have in there that were so cool for you to actually get, but have been collecting dust for awhile now as you completely forgot about them.
They’ve served their purpose. They are of no use to you now, except as a reminder that novelty fades. Now think of an experience you had that was out of this world. Maybe it was a date with a really pretty girl, or maybe it was a trip you especially enjoyed. Those experiences become part of you and your identity, and those experiences are ones that actually speak to your soul. You remember them fondly and they’ll stay with you forever.
So when you have the chance to spend money on a new gadget or a new experience, choose the latter. It almost always will be worth it.
Until Tomorrow,
