“Working with a master firsthand is the best education; it’s the surest way of raising the bar. Their excellence demands your excellence. But most of us aren’t lucky enough to have that opportunity. Still, not all is lost. If you don’t have the chance to work with a master directly, you can still surround yourself with people who have higher standards by reading about them and their work.” -Shane Parrish (Clear Thinking)
Trust me, anything you’ve ever wanted to accomplish, someone has done it successfully before. That’s why if you want a shortcut, you need to find someone that has done it and follow what they did. The more you hang around them, the more likely you are to pick up their habits and their knowledge. Even if you don’t interact with them personally, it’s just as good to read their books, look at how they do business and take their advice they are giving on social media.
Contribution can be given from a lot of other places other than a face to face meeting. So find the one person who you want to be like and do what they do, be who they are, and most likely you’ll end up like them.
