Focus on Outcomes, Not Busywork
The Loudest People always get the attention first is a bad way to run a Business
You’ve seen their videos, you’ve heard their complaining. Karen’s are loud and obnoxious and demand to be paid attention too. While a video of them being Karen’s may go viral, paying attention to them is detrimental to everything you worked for. There’s probably about a thousand other things you should be doing while running a business rather than give attention seekers what they want, attention.
Therefore, focus on specific outcomes, don’t start your day reading your email, there’s probably 50 things in there of people wanting you to do stuff that will distract you. Focus on the 20% of the work that will get you 80% of the work. It’s scientifically proven that there is always 20% of the problems that when solved will fix 80% of you business.
Choose kindness to irate customers (it takes away their power) but don’t spend all your time catering to the one who might not come back next time. Move on and try and help those who actually want your help.
Until Tomorrow,
