Focusing on Your Strengths

And Throwing out Your Weaknesses

All of us are really good at something, maybe even a couple of things. You might even be jealous of someone who is really good at something you really want to be good at. But the person that’s really good at something will tell you that it’s more of a curse than a blessing. Not having to try at the thing they are naturally good at basically cuts there drive for competition. Especially if what they are good at is related to how they make their living.

People tire all the time at doing what they are good at. They wanna quit their NBA Career to go play Baseball. They want to quit acting to pursue a Music Career. They want to write a book after being a Social Media Star.

Honestly though, they aren’t half bad at what they choose to do later. They’ve already built the discipline to learn over their years of success and fame. But we don’t see it as the magic they think they are accomplishing, we see it as a mediocre attempt to branch out, something we didn’t ask for and we’d just want them to go back to what rose them to fame.

Everyone needs money to live. So just separate the things you’re good at with the thing you want to do. Give them separate living spaces in your head. Make money doing the things you’re good at, but leave the creativity and the things you want to learn as a hobby to come back too when ever you need inspiration or motivation to continue doing what you do best.

Until Tomorrow,
