One of the best pieces of advice I can give about progressing in life and overcoming resistance is that when you face criticism, whether it be external or internal critique, is to first recognize where it originates from. Most of the time when you’re facing a troublesome problem, the real resistance is almost always internal.
If something goes horribly wrong, the world usually moves on pretty quickly, but our own minds tend to dwell on things forever, especially with things in the past. What may be one small problem can become a big problem because you overinflated it in your head forevermore. The only way to overcome is by forgiving yourself and moving on. Once you’ve done that, you realize it wasn’t really that big of a problem in the first place.
