Freedom of Choice doesn't mean Freedom of Consequence

Something to think about

Many people want the Freedom to choose for themselves, but what most actually want is the Freedom to choose whatever the want, free from consequence. They want to choose to smoke sometimes without becoming addicted. They want to choose a career that seems interesting but they want more pay for less work and responsibility.

The unfortunate truth is that no matter what you choose to do, you are blocking off a whole nother set of choices from ever happening. So if you want the freedom of choice, don’t complain after the fact that you “Didn’t know it would work out this way” or “But I want the cake to eat and have it too”. Life is about accepting and living with your choices, and if you don’t like the outcomes, try to make better decisions next time.

Until Tomorrow,
