Leadership is more about Them then it is You
Being a Leader is hard, and not always satisfying
Have you ever had a really Bad boss? They just seemed to suck at everything, especially at handling your training or maybe they yelled a lot or maybe they just didn’t care enough about you?
There are plenty of Bosses out there, but there are very few Leaders. Leaders lead by example, not by berating or yelling or threatening. If a Leader has to threaten you, they’ve lost all confidence in you and most importantly, themselves.
So how do we become Leaders, how do we become people we ourselves would want to work under? Well that’s up to you. Being true to the values that you inspire in other people to want is a great first step.
Integrity above all else will let you gain the fastest amount of trust from your employees. If you make a mistake, apologize, and most importantly, be aware when you make a mistake. Arrogance is the fastest way to destroy trust in an organization.
