Luck is just the Reward for Hard Work
You pay for it before or after the fact, but you always end up paying for it one way or another
I’ve seen a lot of people in my time go viral and make a career in content creation because of it. But what they didn’t realize is I watch them and their Creator Businesses for years after the fact. I’d say 90% of the people who got lucky really quickly in their careers almost always fizzle out after a couple of years. Why? Because they got thrust into the limelight and they didn’t have the skills or experience to use that as a trampoline to launch them into true fame and influence.
They just kept doing what had worked and rode that out, not innovating on anything. What’s really bad about this is that sometimes they made a lot of money for their eventual loss of the fame to not matter anymore that they can just drift off into the sunset, hoping no one notices. But I notice, I’m like an elephant, I never forget the entirety of someone’s creative career.
If you’re jealous of the person who went viral, don’t be. They’ll probably prove to you that you shouldn’t have cared in a few years anyways. They will fall as quickly as they rose. Follow through on who you want to be, don’t expect fame to replace how you feel about yourself and your work.
Until Tomorrow,
