Make a list of Everything you don't want

It's a lot easier than making a list of the goals you DO want

The world is fairly negative. We tend to fear failure more then we desire success. This is why the majority of us never start something of our own, we’re happy working for a salary if it means we become part of something and the chance failure can be distributed among many others.

Most people don’t want the added responsibility of being a leader, and not because they wouldn’t be great at it, but because they don’t want to fail and be held responsible for other people’s work.

So here’s how to handle that fear of failure. Write down of list of everything you don’t want to do. Goals you don’t want to achieve, people you don’t want to meet. Once you start doing this, you’ll find patterns of things you don’t like doing, then you can translate that by finding the opposite of what you wrote down. Now there’s a good chance you’d enjoy doing those types of things and that it be worth the risk of failure for you to go and try and achieve those things.
