Make what you want Satisfying to Get
It'll be all the motivation you need
When something is desirable, it is not always a guarantee that you will want it once you get it. Think about asking a girl on a date. You’re all anxious leading up to asking her and getting the date and going on the date. But it could turn out to be an utter disaster, no compatibility and no further interest is exuded, and you’re out the cost of dinner.
The solution to not be bummed about the whole endeavor is to practice the act of delayed gratification. If you can reframe your thinking and learn that the reward for dating is getting married and having a happy rest of your life, you would think differently about that date, even if it did turn out to be a disaster.
You can do this with any chore or obligation you might need to complete. Focus on the satisfaction of a job well done, rather than what could go wrong.
Until Tomorrow,
