One of the most important things you can do in your life is become a Parent

Or an Uncle or Aunt or Grandparent or a Softball Coach

It doesn’t matter what happened yesterday. It doesn’t matter how bad you messed up. It doesn’t matter if that deal fell through or if you didn’t get that raise you wanted.

If you look forward to helping the next generation whenever you can, you’re doing well. Helping make the world a better place starts with making sure the next generation will have a better future then you did. That’s real capitalistic progress, that’s the real American Dream.

All else is trivial in comparison…

So be a Good Dad, or Uncle, or Mentor. It may be a hard job but someone’s gotta do it…
