Prioritize Connection over Attention
Attention is Temporary, Connection Last Way Longer
How many times have you connected with a posts online so much that you followed the person on Social Media and continued to engage with them for the rest of the year? Does it happen often? Probably not. Attention is fleeting, but true connection takes time to develop.
If you are trying to get noticed on social media, you must remember that to make true connection with other people takes times. It takes repetition. It takes trust. If you try to connect with other people, over and over again, eventually it will show in what you do for others. A Viral Stunt on a Youtube Video is not going to make you love the creator. But taking advice time and time again from their videos will.
Do things for attention first, but then prioritize connection after.
