The 2 Hidden Reasons Behind Your Stress and Anxiety Every Overthinker Needs to Know to Finally Find Lasting Peace and Boost Your Daily Productivity
There are usually only two reasons why you are stressed or anxious about a decision. Either you’re stressed about making the decision or you’re stressed that you can’t make the decision.
If you procrastinate the decision long enough, that act of needing to decide and not being able will become part of the actual stress itself. Because if you feel bad about yourself and your inadequacy, you aren’t going to make a good decision.
If you overthink the decision to much, you will also be stressed out. Overthinking and rumination is one of the top precursors of depression. When you overthink, you take no action, when you take no action, you get no reward, when you get no reward, you feel like you haven’t achieved anything and then you start to overthink why you’re such a loser, over and over again. It’s a very bad loop to find yourself in.
The answer is to look at why you can’t decide from the 2 plus options that you have: Is there a conflict? What are you giving up if you go through with the other choice? Probably the same as the other choice. So just make that decision. If you overthink on the subject for too long, it usually means either choice was the right one to make anyways. The reasoning behind is that as you take action, you can just adjust according to actual human feedback and make something great, rather than just thinking it up all in your head from day 1 and not being sure it was right choice anyways
So do yourself a favor and decide already. It’s not worth it overthinking things for more than a day.
