“Failing is often the best way to learn, and because of that, early failure is a kind of necessary investment.” -Chip Heath (Switch)
We all have a tough time with failure. Some more than others. Failure feels difficult, when in reality, it didn’t really mean much in and of itself. But what failure allows us to do is to correct along the way. In the very imperfect world we live in, failure allows us to see our potential. If we knew everything we do would be a success, then that success wouldn’t be worth much.
By allowing failure to be a part of our lives, it allows us to actually enjoy the success and progress we acquire. It’s worth that much more to us.
Yeah, it sucks to fail, a lot. Setbacks should be renamed to “Setforwards”, because that’s what they are, they are data points for you to actually find the successful path you’re looking for, and you would’ve never found it had you not gotten lost along the way in the first place.
