The Jobs Market isn't Looking Great
It's a tale as old as time
Back in the 1950’s, you used to stay with your company for 40 years. You progressed up the ladder, you’re expertise and loyalty was valued, and you got a gold watch when you retired.
Today, when you interview for a position there’s a 90% chance you’ll get rejected and get no communication at all on your application. What happened? When did we decide to dehumanize Human Labor this much?
Well, it all comes down to money, doesn’t it? If corporations had a soul, they’d be pretty crappy people. The truth is a Company’s Culture is permanently set when it’s first 50 Members are hired. So it doesn’t matter who they hire after the fact, if they traded their human kindness for a successful Series A or by outsourcing there why to a foreign country for cheaper labor, then they’ll never recover their Humanity.
Just know that everytime you get rejected from a Job application, there’s a good chance if they never even gave you a rejection email, it was probably for the best. You’d never want to work for a company who couldn’t care enough about their potential employees to give them an email saying they went a different way.
Until Tomorrow,
