Everything Changes. The sooner you admit that, the better off you’ll be. But our minds are trained to treat change as a conflict. We want homeostasis, we want to be satiated always. But Nature is not like that, and so we aren’t as well.
You used to work for the same Company for 20-30 Years. You also were taken care by that company for everything. Now its suggested you work for 2 years and leverage your position for a better offer somewhere else. That’s definite change.
But with all areas of your life, you can choose to be stubborn and not change the things you can control. What you order at Mcdonald’s, where you like to go on vacation, even what friends you hang with on a weekly basis. There’s certain constants you want in your life, but sometimes you should change it up, just to make sure you’re not getting “too” comfortable.
Otherwise, you start ignoring things you shouldn’t be. How much weight you’re gaining without noticing, how much you don’t talk to your partner or spouse, even how much you’re coasting at work. Eventually these things will catalyst into change FOR YOU if ignored long enough. You may end up with a health scare, and then, trust me, from personal experience, things WILL change overnight without your consent.
Until Tomorrow,
