“Thoughts are not facts. They are a mix of opinions, judgments, stories, memories, theories, interpretations, and predictions about the future.” - Julie Smith (Why Has Nobody Told Me This Before?)
Our brains are just terrible to us most of the time. They are basically a computer. What you put in has a direct relation to what comes out. But sometimes there’s errors, sometimes you need to recognize that our brains are just trying to make sense of the 9.5 million bits of information its exposed to each day (That’s 110 bits per second.)
What I’m saying is most of the time, you can’t trust your brain to figure out what’s best for you, at last emotionally. Your instincts and your systems do a better job than the brain in that regard.
So anytime you think that you’re not enough, remember that everyone feels that, some more than others and than it’s simply not true, due to the fact of every good thing that’s happened in your life is a direct result of something you did to earn that.
