“We live in a cosmos that responds to our actions by bringing us more of the same. To oversimplify for a moment, if we act friendly to the world, we find that circumstances emerge that reinforce our belief that the world is friendly. Similarly, if we act hostile to the world, we find our perspective justified because events arise that confirm our preconceived notions. When we align with circumstances, circumstances align with us. We can call this flow.” -Sky Nelson-Isaacs (Living in Flow)
When you immerse yourself in work for longer and longer hours, what would you expect would happen tomorrow? For the work to suddenly cease? No, you’ll always find more of the same work. There’s a lot of people out there, and they always need things. Food, Shelter, and someone to do their taxes. Everything we do we could probably do it endlessly for an endless amount of people. We’ll always be needed, until we don’t want to do the thing anymore and we go try something else.
Many people say “I wish I was a Popular Youtuber” or “I wish I was a Rich CEO”. Technically if you get rid of the adjective, you can be either one right now. The Big value of the position is what you’re real after, not the position itself. If just the position satisfied you enough, it wouldn’t be worth anything. Anyone can start a Business tomorrow and name themselves CEO, anyone can upload a Video to YouTube and become a Youtuber. The only division between what we want and what we have is the work we put into it to get where we want to go.
So if you want to change into something you’re not, it’s as easy as just going and doing it to prove to yourself that you are what you want to be.
Until Tomorrow,
