We Crave the Anticipation of the Reward
Share

Everything we desire has it’s basis in the chemical makeup of our Brains. When we truly desire something, we get excited at the chance of getting it. Whether it be a Video Game we are looking forward to come out or someone we are looking forward to ask out on a date, it’s all the same. We enjoy most the anticipation of gaining the thing, and not always the actual thing. When we do get the reward, we quickly look on to what’s next or what we still don’t have.

This is true for our Paycheck, the more follows and likes we might get on social media next week or the party that is coming up this weekend. So wouldn’t it be prudent to your mental health if you slow down and enjoy the good things you’ve already done and received before you start looking for the next thing?

Until Tomorrow,
