Remember when Geeks used to have pocket protectors and always had a pen and pocket notebook in their front shirt pocket?
Am I the only one who remembers that cultural aspect of Scientists? One thing scientists all love is data. It’s their fuel, it what drives them towards their discoveries that they spend their lives developing. But none of it can be achieved without data, which comes from experimentation.
We experiment everyday in our own lives by just living, even if we aren’t doing chemical science in a lab. We have experiences, issues and successes everyday, but we should all be writing them down if we are to truly learn from them. This is why journaling and note taking are such an important part of life. The time you take to journal at the end of the day helps you to take account and make sense of what happened to you that day, so you can be even better equipped to tackle tomorrow’s problems because you become self aware on how you tackled them today.
So always be notetaking throughout the day, and journal your thoughts on those notes at the end of the night. You’ll future self will thank you, especially if you ever intend on writing a book later in your life (Trust me, I know this painfully well right now)
Until Tomorrow,
