“Your mission announces exactly where you are going, and your values describe the behaviors that will get you there.” -Jack Welch (Winning)
You’d be surprised at how many people wander through life aimlessly and then think to themselves “Why do I hate my life? Why do I suffer through so many things that make me unhappy?”
The answer to those questions is simple, the Chesire Cat answered them a long time ago: If you don’t know where you’re going, then it doesn’t matter which path you choose.
In order for your life to mean something, you need a goal, you need an endgame, you need a desire to go somewhere. If you don’t have one, I suggest you try to find one first. Ironically, the way to find that out is by experiencing life rather whimsically. Trying new things, exploring new places, and meeting new people.
Once you have a semblance of where you want to go, you’ll find that little by little, the more you put yourself out there, the more confidence you’ll gain. The eventually you’ll know with a surety you’ve never had before, that this is where you’ve been, this is where you are and this is where you want to go.
