“On one estimate, the adult human brain stores about one billion bits—a couple of orders of magnitude less than a low-end smartphone.” -Nick Bostrom (Superintelligence)

1 Billion Bits of Information is the equivalent of 125 Megabytes of information. That’s a rough amount, but it’s accurate. When you think of all the memories you hold, all the conversations, all the knowledge and skills you have in your brain, with the capacity to learn more, it becomes an incredible thing our brains.

But like the computer that it is, our brain can glitch sometimes. While it might not necessarily be a glitch in the matrix, sometimes we can’t trust our brains to process information the way we want it too. Sometimes our brains have a mind of their own (I’m sorry, it was too great pun)

Use your brain as intended, to process information and learn. Don’t rely too much on how it processes things or trauma it might induce by processing something wrong or when you make a mistake trying to figure things out. Learning is part of the process, and wouldn’t happen if we didn’t fail from time to time.

Until Tomorrow,
