Many people take a price for a service or product as it is, as law. But the smarter ones know that everything is negotiable. Salaries, Services, and even Tips. But many can’t be bothered to try and negotiate.
The thing is we try everyday to negotiate with ourselves. We try to talk ourselves into crappy deals because “We Need the Money” or “I’ll just take this job even if the Salary is lower than my previous job because I’ve been out of work for 6 months”. Those are just fine excuses, if you need to give them to yourself to survive, then that’s your prerogative.
But let me ask you, what do you really think your worth? If that number in your head is more than you ever gotten in reality, wouldn’t you assume that you don’t actually believe in that number simply because you never asked for it?
You’re outside worth only equals to what you negotiate for. So think better of yourself and negotiate for it.
